Welcome to Jeff Heidel's personal website.
This website is hosted on my
closet server (the live conditions of the setup are listed on the right). Sorry if some of the
images load slowly; my outbound internet connection is severely limited due
to my ISP options.
This website at present lists and details the highlights of my projects in three
computer related fields over the last several years. These products can be
viewed using the links at the bottom of the page under Projects. These projects are broken
down into three major categories:
- System Programming
-This programming entails the development of software designed to run on the
client machine in order to perform various functions. This type of programming
focuses in more advanced mathematical operations as well as hardware interface.
I currently do most of my programming in vb.net and C#, but I am planning on
learning C++ in the near future. Recently, I have also started developing
programs that communicate by means of a web server thereby merging system
programming directly with website programming.
- Website Development
-As of a couple years ago, this branch of programming focuses on the development of
active server pages and interactions with other websites. This programming is
done in order to link the user's browsing experience with the server's coding
and information. The focus on this programming isn't so much the code as it is
the interactions between different pages, websites, and APIs.
- Video Production
-Video Production has been a hobby of mine since as long as I can remember.
Although I enjoy the entire video production process from filming to editing to
finalization, my focus is in the development of special effects using a myriad
of programs in order to create the effect that I want.
